I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, but I have called Charlottesville, Virginia my home since 1979. I love it here! Living in Central Virginia (the heart of the state) gives access to the Blue Ridge Mountains (20 minutes away) with outdoor activities to satisfy every outdoor enthusiast. Washington DC is only a two hour drive to the nation’s capitol with museums and history to fill the delight of any historian. Fredericksburg, Virginia (one hour away) is for all the battlefield buffs. If water and the beach is your passion, take a three hour drive to Virginia Beach and enjoy the wonderful Atlantic Ocean.
